The phase swap is at around 40% and two of us at ~220 ilvl are enough to kill Kil'jaeden during the cast for the last phase. Just save all cooldowns and bloodlust and everything for that part. I've just managed to solo him in LFR as a 431 ret paladin, and the biggest reason it was even possible was Beacon to the Beyond trinket (LFR with 8/8 upgrade, ilvl 424) which crit for ~935K.
